Kugener and Butchart Finish On A High

Grant Kugener and Matt Butchart have spent most of this year racing in the North Island doing the Pro Kart Series.

Last weekend was the last round of the Series which was held in Auckland, and they had to deal with very changeable weather conditions with wet and dry tracks all weekend causing continual set-up changes.

They both drove very well, especially Kugener with a 3rd in the final. This series has been over 6 rounds through the year beginning in February , with 5 races per round. All races count towards the series results with none being dropped. So with big fields and very tough racing, every race has to count.

They both had some exceptional results and also some bad luck on the way. But they both finished the series in the top 6 trophy positions. Kugener finished the series in KZ2 Masters overall in 4th and Butchart finished the main KZ2 series in 6th. An awesome effort for both given the level of competion and for both a 1st time in the series against some very seasoned competion
